The Appalachian Quilt Trail winds its way through Loudon County with trail stops in Greenback, Lenoir City, Loudon, and Philadelphia. The Appalachian Quilt Trail is a favorite for visitors who enjoy the beauty of the countryside, the experience of farm life, and the history and culture of a region.
Loudon County has six trail stops, and each displays a different heritage quilt pattern hand-painted on wood. Each quilt pattern relates to the trail stop location. For example, the pattern “Grape Basket” is displayed at Tennessee Valley Winery. Also along the trail you’ll find unique shops and eateries, great agritourism venues and of course, beautiful country roads. So grab a camera, and spend a day following the trail.
