The many beautiful lakes and rivers in Loudon County are known for their wide array of spectacular water activities, including fishing, boating, waterskiing, canoeing and kayaking. But Loudon County, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, has a variety of other recreational opportunities for visitors year-round.
With the Great Smoky Mountains for a background, the hiking is second to none, while horseback riding is always a great option, as is hunting, golfing on one of our many premier courses, or even dirt track racing.
The area is also rich in stick and ball sports as spectators can enjoy the Tennessee Volunteers and other Southeastern Conference teams, as well as Double A baseball with the Tennessee Smokies and minor league hockey with the Knoxville Ice Bears.
When it comes to sports and recreation, Loudon County simply can’t be beat!
