Watts Bar Lake, located on the Tennessee River, extends 72.4 miles northeast from the Watts Bar Dam to Fort Loudoun Dam. The lake is popular for boating, fishing, swimming, camping and a variety of other outdoor activities. A scenic overlook near the dam gives visitors a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding countryside. ‘
The Watts Bar Dam is 112 feet high and stretches 2,960 feet across the Tennessee River. The lake has 722 miles of shoreline and more than 39,090 acres of water surface.
