The East Lakeshore Trail system at Tellico Lake

 is considered to be one of the most beautiful and accessible hiking trails in East Tennessee. The trail, which provides a recreational and educational experience, has been recognized by the Department of the Interior as a National Recreation Trail.

  • The 31-mile trail system consists of eight segments available for public use year round. Access to the trail is provided at nine trailheads with vehicle parking for 15 to 20 vehicles, and kiosks with maps and other information. Two boat landings are currently available for easy access by boaters wanting to hike northern parts of the trail.

    MAP & TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS

  • Hall Bend Trail is a 4.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located on Hwy 444 near the north entrance to Tellico Village that features beautiful views of Tellico Lake and is good for all skill levels. Dogs are also welcome on this trail.

  • Loudon Municipal Park features a .50-Mile Walking Track and a 2-mile Nature Hiking Trail.

    Legion Park features a .43-Mile Walking Trail.

    Liberty Park features a .40-Mile Jogging Trail.

    All City of Loudon parks and trails are maintained by Loudon Parks & Recreation.

  • Town Creek Greenway is a 3.3 mile out and back trail that follows Town Creek located in downtown Lenoir City. The trail is completely paved (cyclists welcome!), good for all skill levels and is accessible year-round. Parking is available at the trailheads located on Broadway Street (Hwy 11) and Kingston Street Baptist Church and also at Rock Springs Park and Wampler-Keith Park.
